Dan called this morning.  Last night the doctors removed a gangrenous gall bladder in an hour operation.  The gangrene did not appear to have spread and they think they got all of it.  He feels like he was kicked by a horse.  I know what that feels like but some old sod from Iowa - - what does he know about a horse kick? Eh?  He thinks this might finally be his last visit for awhile even though the hospital has only finished 2/3rds of their new wing. 

More later unless Dan can find another farm animal to wrestle with.
