Cynthia, you asked “who is George Sisler?"

He was President of the Church Federation of Greater Chicago in 1962 and was responsible for hiring Joe Mathews as Dean of the Ecumenical Institute. He also was a VP at the First National Bank of Chicago (which has long ago disappeared under acquisitions and mergers and is now a part of Chase). He remained a high profile supporter of the Ecumenical Institute until his death in the 1992. Here is his obituary:
