There was an Iron Man statue in the courtyard of the Kamweleni Training Center — smaller than the original but much larger than the one given to the Religious Houses. I cant find a picture just now

Yes, much appreciation 🙏, Karen for sharing that lovely Iron Man original story from Jean Loomis. I didn’t realize the intricacies of the design harked back to the X in the RS-1 Christ lecture and the wedge blade from the Church lecture. For those of you who don’t click on the Archives link to 4-page PDF description from Jean, at least read this screenshot paragraph: Deconstructing the work.

My dad often said he thought he was Jean Loomis’s model for the Iron Man, since he was long and lanky like the Iron Man. I got a kick out of that. To Jean’s urban myth comment at the end her piece, I wonder how many people in Fifth City and beyond fancied themselves the model or fabricated the creator of this iconic statue. It’s all Good. 😃

How beautiful!

Thank-you, Karen.

I still have the Ottawa House Iron Man.

I also recall Jean’s giant frames for the gym, including a Black Augustine.
The others were ….. Teresa of Avila and ….?????

Here is Jean Loomis telling her story about creating the Iron Man statue:  https://wedgeblade.net/files/archives_assets/21019.pdf.  It is found in the ICA Global Archives Community Development Collection on the 5th City Pilot:  https://icaglobalarchives.org/collections/human-development/human-development-projects/project-illustrations/fifth-city/.
