Dear Rhonda, Jenny and Family Members, We join the tears of sadness and chorus of prayers of colleagues for you and all your family as we remember you and Brian with whom we worked in Canada: Toronto, Lorne/New Brunswick and later the Ottawa House with Jenny, commuting to Montreal on weekends. We always appreciated Brian's steady, kind, Gentle Giant Area and House Priorship presence and nonchalant, encouraging but resolute leadership, humor and laughter which often reminded us of Abraham Lincoln. He was a still point during the oftentimes chaotic, swirling winds of the Community Forum Golding of the Provinces Campaign. We give thanks for and celebrate Brian's life--the gift he was to your family and to so many friends and colleagues, as well as the larger world. And, now, he, too, belongs to the ages, and his legacy of love and care, courage and creativity continues to live through those who knew him--into future generations. This beloved giant of a man has left us and as all shall mourn his passing, there will nevertheless be a worthy celebration of his life. This will take place (for Australian colleagues) at the Modbury Uniting Church, 576 Monatague Rod, Modbury North, South Australia on Wednesday 19th October at 2pm. Rhonda, dear Rhonda, The joy and acceptance of life in the midst of the most challenging situations was a gift that Brian carried. Mumbai or Bombay Centrum had several of these on a daily basis. His equanimity (and yours too) helped us meet them. Thank you Rhonda and Brian for being a part of this adventure. None of us stayed in the safety of conditioned ways. To Rhonda and family, The world is a finer place because of Brian's having decided to put his being into making it finer. We spent most of our Order life on different continents from each other, but brief times of being together are memorable, and for that we are grateful. Grace and Peace to you all.
