Dear Colleagues, How many miles do you plan to walk next year? Have you heard of, or seen any information about, *The Great Climate March*? Here is the web address for the information http://climatemarch.org. How many colleagues would consider Marching from Santa Monica, CA to WDC? Get the Route from the Web Page: choose the first selection *March* andscroll down to the first selection *Route.* What’s the chance of connecting with each other, periodically, during the March? Imagine how much Walking Meditation we could do! Or how much Journaling you could do while crossing the Nation! The website tells · the significance of such Marches, · when this March will start [*Mar 1, 2014*], · when it will end [*Nov 2014*], and · lists the itinerary, · *+* much more. It will be coming across the nation from Santa Monica, CA, to WDC. It may be near you, your relatives, colleagues or friends. It would be interesting to check it out. I’m making plans to do the March. It’s an enormous commitment and its clear to me that this is an action that needs to be taken for the future of Planet Earth. It’s a step toward changing the way our Consume-and-Throw-Away-Lifestyle is altering the climate. We’re Marching to shift the mindset on climate so our grandchildren will have a future! I’ve created a mantra that I’m using to help me maintain a commitment to the March. *“If any will take the Great Climate March to save Mother Earth they will have to abandon life as it is. Whoever will lose his or her life, to change the Consume-and-Throw-Away Life-Style to save Planet Earth, shall find it.”* I think those on the March will need to sing as we march. In the 1990’s I returned to the Family Farm, along the Loess Hills in Iowa. I wrote a song, about my return, to the tune of ‘Blue Ridge Mountain Blues’—my words attached ‘ROLLIN’ LOESS HILLS BLUES; tune on Utube. < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmDyz1M892Y>. I haven’t been able to write a song since so I think I’ll be contacting the Raging Grannies < http://raginggrannies.net> and see if they can help generate some songs for the March. I'll bet there are some on this List-Serve that could generate a significant song.
