Margaret Wheatley book
Someone cited Margaret Wheatly's book, Leadership and the New Science, so I bought a used copy and read it. I think her thesis sentence is on P. 177: "We live in a world where order emerges out of chaos if people are free to make their own decisions based on shared meaning and values." The book I have is dated 2006, and it is the third edition, apparently. I wonder if she has written a new edition? Highly recommended to all! Karen Bueno.
A number of us studied her 2012 book, So Far From Home, which is sobering reflection on the unanticipated consequences of what she described in her earlier works. My chart is attached. You can find a record of our study in the global archives section of wedgeblade.net. Follow this link https://wedgeblade.net/wordpress/studies/ Here is her invitation AN INVITATION TO WARRIORSHIP I wrote this book for you if you offer your work as a contribution to others, whatever your work might be, and if now you find yourself feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and sometimes despairing even as you paradoxically experience moments of joy, belonging, and greater resolve to do your work. I believe the 3rd edition is the last. In my opinion the best book she has written, co-authored with Deborah Frieze, is called Walk Out, Walk On. It is the story of 6 communities around the world that she says are "living the future now." Randy
