[ for Janice and Steve] I like the thrust of the Accelerate 77 initiative that Seva Gandhi and others are doing in Chicago The model is collaborative value creation in a peer oriented learning environment that is engaging partners. I'm liking this model's combinations -77 Chicago Neighborhoods and local sustainable initiative groups -1/2 dozen Universities and the ICA-USA program initiative -40 interns with trained team leaders + 5 experienced colleagues trying to learn how to be on the task team bus without being the driver or the facilitator. It seems to me that collaborative value creation is a new and unexpected norm. Peer oriented learning happens on a continuum of onsite<->online all the time and very visible. So just now not many heroic facilitators & their clients needed; there is a bigger need for heroic collaborators with a vision of both place and community. It is not a culture of complaint.
