What if, as the law now states, that corporations are people? • would that mean that corporations could not "abort" a new merger proposal to bring forth a new "subsidiary" corporation - a deal struck in the middle of the night over a couple of cocktails? • would that mean that a corporation could not end an unwanted relationship with a heretofore partner? • would that mean the corporation could be drafted into the military? • would that mean real people could have as many "partners" as a corporation can? • would that mean real people could own other people and tell them what to make and where to live like a corporation can? • would that mean real people could cut off an appendage if it offended them like a corporation can? (Oops, that's in the BOOK somewhere, eh?) Maybe we should push for full citizenship of corporations so they can enjoy all the rights and freedoms real people enjoy and see how they like it. Lee
And maybe they would pay "real people" taxes?
