In May, 2010, George, Jordan and I went to 5th City to visit the 5th City PreSchooling Institute and Ruth Carter. Ruth, although retired, was as energetic as ever and we had a wonderful time reminiscing about the days we spent together in 5th City and the current struggles of maintaining quality services in communities - be it on the Westside of Chicago or New York City. We posed for pictures at the Iron Man statue and she was so proud to introduce us to her grandson. Ruth has a special place in my heart and I was so blessed to have known her. Ann Ensinger
