Hello colleagues. We celebrated Shirley’s completed life last Thursday evening at Park Hill United Methodist Church. Alan Heckman (Shirley’s grandson), Dr. Tom Wolfe (President of the Iliff School of Theology), and I (an Iliff classmate of Shirley’s in 1964) offered appreciations. Clarence was present with members of his family. Shirley’s family (John, Cynthia, and Anita and their families were also present, along with members of Park Hill UMCh, where Clarence and Shirley were members, and EI/OE/ICA colleagues. I’ve attached a comlilation of your email remembrances, the service booklet, and my appreciation. Apologies if any of your remembrances of Shirley didn’t make it into this compilation.
