Change rarely happens by trying to make other people do something. It's a
do-it-yourself operation. "Whoever sees the need, does the
deed." "D-O-O-P" was a project mantra (Do Our Own
Project). Or, as we once said, "If you're waiting for the government
to make the changes you want, you have a long wait ahead" or
something like that.
It does require organizing people, not to hold representatives
responsible, but to get the work done.
