You're right Tim. That picture was taken crossing the Nile into Bayad. I could not remember the name of the man or the local woman in the photo, but I am the woman on the left. The time period was actually earlier in the '70's, as I was assigned there early in the consult for the El Bayad HDP.

This picture was likely taken on a boat crossing the Nile in Egypt dating to when Susan and I were assigned to Bayad (1978-1982), and her parents were visiting.
