Dear Friends/Colleagues,

Ok, last week I got an email from Alisa Oyler that her mother, Marilyn Oyler, is turning 80 in April. She asked me if I would send her a card listing a particular gift she brought to the world or at least a card. No problem- her mom is full of gifts.

And then this morning John Patterson called me up looking for an email address. We chatted and he let me know that his 80th birthday was April 22, Earth Day. It is just like John to have his birthday on the most important day of the year.

I think it is part of the Order Rule that we send anybody who makes it to 80 a card holding up a gift. Well, at least a card. I just sent John a card that said, “I looked all over Chicago for an 80th birthday card, but nothing. This is as close as I could get- Happy 90th birthday- something to grow into!”

Marilyn Oyler: 4208 N. 25th Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85016, USA

John Patterson: 1487 Cranberry Lake Road, Haliburton ON, KOM 1S0, Canada

Being late is good- just send a card.
