Dear Dialogue Colleagues,

On August 17, I introduced this co-project between ICA Nepal and ICA Japan. Now the on-line giving is ready to receive your donation through GlobalGiving. They provided training and act as a channel to ICA Japan & ICA Nepal to receive your donation. The 5000 venerable girls near our activities really need help, because this is a deep contradiction in all their lives. We have nowhere to turn except you fine deep thinkers.

ICA Nepal has begun, but requires additional funding, and ICA Japan could not add this component to the remote site where we are building a community center and giving a variety of other essential training. Greetings from ICA Japan. I left ICA USA years ago, but now need your help.
Just recently, the GlobalGiving Foundation selected ICA Japan to participate in its Accelerator, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations around the world.

Our fundraising project revolves around the illegal Nepalese tradition Chaupadi, which bans girls and women on their period from entering houses or schools. The tradition is still being carried out, which puts a strain on their education opportunities and overall wellbeing. The donations will go to providing Nepalese girls with sanitary pads so they can continue going to school.

In order to succeed, we must raise $5,000 from 40 donors from on-line donations by October 2nd, 2018.

The Institute of Cultural Affairs Japan has been working in over 24 locations all around the world providing support to many development projects. Since we were founded in 1970, we have assisted many communities. For example, just last year we helped the people of Cote d'Ivoire by building chicken houses and providing vegetable gardens to stimulate the local economy.
