Dear Dialogue Colleagues, Just recently, the GlobalGiving Foundation selected ICA Japan to participate in its Accelerator, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations around the world. Our fundraising project revolves around the illegal Nepalese tradition Chaupadi, which bans girls and women on their period from entering houses or schools. The tradition is still being carried out, which puts a strain on their education opportunities and overall wellbeing. The donations will go to providing Nepalese girls with sanitary pads so they can continue going to school. -More information about these girls can be found by clicking here- In order to succeed, we must raise $5,000 from 40 donors from on-line donations by October 2nd, 2018. Please help us reach the goal! Be one of the first people to make a donation at GG Let's Talk Period! Your donation will help Nepalese girls with their education during their period by providing them with sanitary pads. The Institute of Cultural Affairs Japan has been working in over 24 locations all around the world providing support to many development projects. Since we were founded in 1970, we have assisted many communities. For example, just last year we helped the people of Cote d'Ivoire by building chicken houses and providing vegetable gardens to stimulate the local economy. We’re also going to need your help spreading the word! Please share this opportunity with your friends and family! Thank you! All the Best, Wayne, The Institute of Cultural Affairs Japan Ishu, The Institute of Cultural Affairs Nepal |
