<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Lots of heavy rain and high winds, but our area seems to be ok. Over 1 million people in Mecklenburg Co. without power, but we didn’t lose ours. Davidson is the northern edge of Mecklenburg County which
is predominately Charlotte. With all the warnings, we had a bag packed In case of tree/roof damage . Asheville is about 3 hours west of us, but its mountains and creeks and rivers were greatly impacted. Swannanoa, which was named in the news clips I saw,
is where Rob Work lives. Marshall Jones may be in Maggie Valley, near Asheville in those same mountains. Our college grandchildren near Raleigh and Burlington checked in ok. Heard from Mary Lou Vergara near Raleigh who was checking in on us.

Pete Beach, are devastated and inaccessible. <br>
