<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Somewhere in our files, we have a small pamphlet of Carl’s poems published around his 90<sup>th</sup> birthday. One of them is quoted in John’s
<i>Journey Reflection</i> above. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Another that I recall is about how he and his beloved Ruth loved to dance. A very special poem that he wrote after her death a number of years ago. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">So a special song tribute is “I will go dancing, I will go dancing, I will go dancing in my soul, for I have touched the hem of his garment and his love has made me whole.”

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Carl and Ruth were a special part of our year in Denver around 1982. Ruth always brought goodies and Carl always came with a hammer to fix something. A special memory is his giving 5 yr old Jeremiah a ride
in his “cherry picker” lift on his truck which was at the Denver House to make 2<sup>nd</sup> or 3<sup>rd</sup> story repairs. When we returned to Denver for a visit, his niece brought him over to see us. One of his many volunteer activities in his retirement
years was reading with primary students who were struggling with their reading.
