It makes a lot of sense for us – demythologizing as we go while tying the transparent stuff back to the text (Greek is really fun for this – ‘sin’ is actually hamartia – missing the mark – i.e. screwing up, and repentance is metanoia – new mindedness or ‘OH, is that what’s going on!).
