There was a year that I was responsible for shaping the letters to institutions on the basis of individual requests and the only other person I know of that ever had this “assignment” was Barbara Barkoney. We needed to know what the student was studying and what they thought the value of the Academy had been to their field of study. We spoke about the curriculum as a whole and highlighted courses and authors (of papers and sometimes whole books) that we felt had particular importance to their field. It was a strenuous back and forth process and sometimes produced nothing from the institutions involved and sometimes received considerable credit.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'> I have no idea how it would be handled at this time, but someone could do their own homework and create a request.
