Contributions for the next issue of Winds and Waves - August 2015

Colleagues, Please use this letter to send on to all potential contributors from within ICA and beyond.

Dear colleagues,

We hope you have enjoyed reading Winds & Waves. It is now being redesigned. The next issue will be out on 15th September 2015 with a brand new face.

The magazine, published by the Institute of Cultural Affairs International, aims to become a forum for individuals and groups involved or interested in issues ranging from education, motivation and human development to planning and facilitation. Its theme is, 'Sharing ideas that work', and its articles range widely in both content and style.

Do you have a story, an idea or an experience that you could write about for our next issue? The following are some ideas on the types of articles that you could work on:

1. Photo essay: Do you have an interesting photo? Send it in with a few lines describing what is going on.

2. Interview: A person’s account of his or her life, views or experiences can be a window to larger issues. This could be someone you know personally or somebody in a project you are involved in.

3. Book reviews: Have you read a great book that you would like to share?

4. Reports: Is there something going on in your project or work that would make a great story?

5. Letters to the Editor: Do you have something you would like to say to readers? It could be about an article you read in the magazine or something unrelated.

6. Feature articles: Do you have some gems of wisdom or experience that you would like to explain at length to readers? A new method of doing something? Something you have learnt?
Comments on an issue of interest to readers? An account of a meaningful journey?

For more ideas, see the attached “Guidelines for W&W contributors” or review the last edition at http://icai-members.org/windswaves-mag/2015-april/vol-5-april-2015.htm
