That’s an interesting translation. I’ve never read the Psalm in that version. 

But I wanted to say that this Psalm is deeply meaningful to many LGBT+ Christians, particularly —

"You It was who fashioned my inward parts,
You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for You fill me with Awe.

Wonderful You are, and wonderful are Your works.

You know me through and through,

my body is no mystery to You,

how I was.secretly kneaded into shape,

and patterned in the deeps of the Earth.



After being told all one’s life that there is something fundamentally “unnatural” or “wrong” with who you are, to read “and wonderful are Your works. . . my body is no mystery to You” is incredibly powerful.

(Or as it is translated in the NRSV —

For it was you who formed my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
