I agree—we’re NOT al on the same team, but that doesn’t mean we cannot eliminate the very negative comments (from both sides) that can spur someone who is unbalanced to take violent action.

On the Sunday talk show on ABC, Reince Priebus, former head of the RNC, and Donna Brazile, former head of the DNC, were, I don’t know, trying to make nice, model cooperation, demonstrate bipartisanship, whatever. Brazile’s closing comment to Priebus was something like — whatever, we’re all on the same team. I just have to say as clearly as I can, and with no vitriol at all, well almost none, We are NOT all on the same team!!!

Yes by all means pray to tamp down the incendiary and vitriolic discourse, and all the same pray for a chance that the Republic (not “ans”) be preserved. I still think the main originator of the latest such discourse be removed “far away from us” as I was thinking of the question the villagers in Fiddler on the Roof asked the Rabbi: “Is there a blessing for the Tzar?” After much thought the Reb prayed:; “May God bless and keep the Tzar . . . . . . .far away from us.” Certain parts of our body politic still need to be removed, but not by assassination, rather by the ballot box and the duly appointed court system of our beloved Republic. I have been feeling very sad about the complications surrounding the attempt on Mr Trump’s life.
I’m watching our flagship programme Four Corners.
A former Attorney of the Department of Justice is talking  about hard it was to ensure the Law was carried out, under the former President’s administration.
What is the most effective wording for my Prayers for your country at this time ?
If someone takes up my question, I will pray and fast at certain times.
