[Oe List ...] celebrating the completed life of David Zahrt

Dear Lin, Heidi, and all of David's great family,

I am sad to hear of David's passing, but as in most matters in his life, he
prepared  and left the woeld wirh wonderful results of his deep, intense
care.

Bruce and I were assigned to Memphis House with our young family. Miko was
5, and Duncan just 9 months old. I spent most of the year coordinating the
Mississippi Rural Development Symposium, which required many trips to
Jackson with David as my support.

Back at the House David taught me to make yoghurt from dried milk and to
enjoy a sweet potato straight out of the garden for lunch.

A special hug to Karen Bird, a good friend from Seattle days!

He was a great spirit man who influenced many people. I feel honored to
have worked with and known him.
