Election wars, pandemic cruel

How did the world survive you?

Our stock portfolios quite enhanced

Then springtime came, our bubble burst

And summer gave no respite.

When autumn fell, we breathed a sigh

With Joe and Kamela riding high

But Trump refused to quit the race

The frontline workers, heroes

The year rolled on, the death toll rose

Our Pres. looked more like Nero

Black lives mattered not so much

Until George Floyd was murdered

Then some woke up to feel the pain

And future hope revived again.

The climate crisis coming fast
