I seem to recall the Phil Townley and others negotiated that we purchase the building and the parking lot from the Kemper Insurance Company for ONE DOLLAR. (Is that true?) / Sherwood

More accurate perhaps to say “acquired” the building. As I recall, perhaps mistakenly, the first of us moved in under cover of darkness early on January 1, 1972. Anyway, Happy Holidays!

The year 2021 brings dual celebrations of 100 years since the ICA GreenRise building was constructed and 50 years since the ICA moved into the building. The ICA is wrapping up 2020 with an End of the Year Funding Campaign to celebrate these milestones and position its service in 2021.
