Bill and Marianna were always high among my role models for demonstrating elements of a missional marriage. Three details in this regard always stood out for me — one had to do with shared purpose and values. Without it, they told me, it ain’t gonna happen. The other two were reinforcements of each other. First: as Bill looked at Marianna with a smile and a twinkle in his eyes, I vividly recall him saying “there always has to be a genuine ‘SPARK!” …. and due to theirs, they decided to elope! Much thanks, Marianna, for the inspiration you’ve been. Terry

Marianna’s gracious southern manner is matched by a fierce resolve to be a powerhouse of care and action in whatever she touches.  That same resolve is seen in her decision to have no more testing or treatments.    She and Bill received a wonderful  formal recognition  by the city of Asheville for their devoted work with Asheville communities and the environment.   I will have to share that article with you later.
