[Oe List ...] RS-1 Friday night conversation

Dick and Jann (et al),

My first RS-1 was at Rolling Ridge in North Andover, MA in spring 1966.  Joe Crocker recruited me and was 3rd teacher.  Joe Pierce was first teacher.  I think Don Clark was second teacher.  I was a college instructor at the time and very much “in my head”, so I loved the book and movie question, but, like you, Jann, was stumped about what the first question meant.  I think I faked some kind of answer.  My life was transformed by Sunday noon, and I remember I was called upon at the end of lunch to “send out” the group of about 90 grads.  I think it was surely the Spirit that spoke whatever I mouthed, as I would never have felt comfortable or competent to do so.
