Interesting, did the vineyards look really good?  or, just regulated?

 Hi,Jim

We'll oddly, it was a visit to the vineyards in France. The growing is tightly regulated to best utilize the land, control for quality, maintain heritage, conserve. I just thot no American wine grower would accept such limitations to his/her entrepreneurial spirit.

Extrapolated from there.

Traveling in Europe one is aware how flagrantly wasteful we in the u.s. are. Profligate is another word that applies. And how our individualistic over emphasis prohibits the kind of constraints Europeans accept in recognition of the common good. Americans would never accept the restrictions on their freedoms that here they do.
How shall we ever build a communal consciousness?
