Traveling in Europe one is aware how flagrantly wasteful we in the u.s. are. Profligate is another word that applies. And how our individualistic over emphasis prohibits the kind of constraints Europeans accept in recognition of the common good. Americans would never accept the restrictions on their freedoms that here they do.
How shall we ever build a communal consciousness?
