It’s my favorite food and fruit. We had a huge tree in the backyard of my parents home. The locals said it died when my father died. I think typhoon and disease killed it.

For those of you who have lived in the tropics, or who are looking for new vegetarian options, or concerned about world hunger, you might be interested in how this often “shunned” jackfruit is gaining new attention.

It apparently is beginning to show up in grocery stores.
