[Oe List ...] art form conversation - election day "Where and how did your body react?"

Dear Del, Jo, John, Jim, Ken, and Judi,

Thank you all for your reflections. Being in Taiwan as an American who voted for Hillary, I am so disappointed and yet not surprised by the demonstrations in the urban cities of America, Hillary did win the popular vote…though now the next morning here, I was in shock and denial.

I am praying for peace and common sense for all our leaders and all people around the world. If we live in fear, then we attract more fear, if we live out of love, we hope to bring about changes that are needed for all. Keep your faith in your heart and soul and surrender it to God.

Grace and Peace,

Evelyn

My body response was to fall asleep and wake up a couple hours later, see what was happening, escape into An old tv series, fall asleep, wake up and check who won Then in shock breathe mindfully until sleep blessed me. Upon awaking I wanted grits and eggs instead of oatmeal. Fed cats, exercised and walked and finally accepted the new reality after Hillary's speech. Now the grieving can begin and thus conversation will facilitate healing of PTSD. What next? In due time. Peace. Judi

To self-soothe, I moved into my current meditative/contemplative practice of, on the one hand listening to whatever words my ego was muttering to get a sense of where I was at in this world; and on the other hand, attentively breathing – ‘we’ on the in-breath and ‘us’ on the out breath evoking the eternality of the other world.
