With my visit to Joe Slicker's funeral and other recent events I have been
reflecting on the history of EI/ICA and what we have accomplished.

While visiting John Cock he made me aware of the book, *A Chronological
History of the Ecumenical Institute and the Institute of Cultural Affairs,
1952-1988. *He had an extra copy and I bought it.

How wonderful that this history is available. It has meant so much to read
and study this book and remember.

Many thanks to Beret, the editor, and to Jeanette Stansfield and to the
many others of you who contributed to this.
