[Oe List ...] An old colleague, an old friend, telephoned last night

. . . out of the blue, we had not spoken in 5 years or more.  What a treat, sort of a fount of blessing . . . We talked of many things, it was like my ear was dying of thirst, starved for the sounds of that voice.  After 40 minutes or so, I gave the phone to my wife and she, too, took in the glory of it.
Among many things, we talked of Meg Wheatley, and the recent study group on So Far From Home . . . Interestingly, this is one of Meg's prescriptions for us as warriors of the human spirit.  Just call someone you haven't talked to in a while . . .  She even suggests dropping in, unannounced, for a visit.  My oh my.  Surely worked for me.  
I recommend it.
For those of you who know him, it was Charles Lingo of Atlanta, Georgia . . . you can imagine the conversation, and the news (a lot of the details have already slipped my consciousness) Jim Wiegel
