Lori,
Fred and I were together in the Brussels Nexus sometime around 1977-78. On one occasion we were assigned to go to Rome on business with colleagues the Rome Religious House. To go from Brussels to Rome, many will remember, we would take the train to Paris and change trains there for an overnight trip to Rome, arriving around 7 a.m. The overnight accommodations were a "couchette" compartment in which the daytime seats were folded at night into six "couches" (bunks) stacked three deep on each side. You never knew who your "roomies" were going to be. On this particular night Fred and I were joined by, among others, a very attractive young French woman. When bedtime arrived she proceeded to crawl up to the top bunk across from the side Fred and I were on, disrobe right in front of God and everyone, and don her bright red nightie. Fred and I looked at each other in amazement, and without a word tried to quickly go to sleep. The next morning, thankfully, the young woman was up and dressed before we awoke, but the drama was not over. As the train pulled into the station she asked Fred and me if we would care to join her at her house for breakfast. We reached a super quick consensus and headed off to our first business appointment of the day. Fred and I never again spoke to each other about this shared "adventure."
Give him my very best wishes,
Randy Williams

> If you knew my dad, Fred Haman, and have any stories you'd like to share with me about him I would be eternally grateful, (Or perhaps you could ask your parents if they have any). I'd like to put something together forJulianne Haman Pappano, Doug Haman, the grand-kids and myself about him and his life. Ours was not always a smooth relationship, but at this point I'd like to fill my brain with pleasant memories. If you can help out with that I'd appreciate it. You can send them to me privately at Mielfrog at hotmail.com . Thanks in advance...I know expectations are dangerous, but I know what this group is capable of!
