Georgianna, I met you one summer in Chicago. Your strength, humor, style, and wisdom were a real demonstration of possibility for me. Here's to the journey you are on now and to the memories we have of you.

Georgianna,

We are thinking of you as you recover. I recollect that you mentored me at my first Town Meeting in
Midland MI, the company town of Dow Chemical.  Two or Three hundred people.  You had it all organized and it was a terrific event thanks to you.

I remember so well being invited out to the Mc Burney household, and experiencing such bonhomie and fun and laughter there!
One time George invited Jim and me into his downtown office, and very proudly showed us a new form of communication-  the Fax- he was so proud that a Facsimile he was sending to New York took 7 minutes to arrive there!  Those were the days!

I was in the North Shore Religious House when Georgianna and her husband were guardians. We met in their house many times. I learned from the Guardians what being a lawyer meant and that became my career.
