Yes, the founding of the Ecumenical Catholic Churches is the opposite of
what is happening in the Episcopal Church. The one involves division in
favor of conservative values, the other is division in favor of progressive
values.

In most local communities in California, there's no longer an Episcopal
congregation. They're "Anglican" in order to keep the sexual orientation of
their clergy hetero.
