In these situations, my  broken heart always goes out to the families of 
the perpetrator  knowing the nightmare it is  to try to get real help for a 
mentally  ill child, as our daughter Suzanne was as a result of her left  
temporal lobe epilepsy. Surely we can do better than either ignoring the  
problem or turning them over to the criminal justice  system.
