I was a leader in the Canadian equivalent, SUPA (Student’s Union for Peace Action). After the conference, I visited 3444 Congress Parkway for a day. I was met by Tim Lush and taken on a tour. A significant part of that time occurred in the basement, where the trash got taken out. There, I met a very fashionable women by the name of Joyce Townley. She was obviously a suburbanite, covered with a smock, but with a colourful scarf and blouse. What a charming woman!
