Thank you, Larry, for expressing the difficulty of reflecting on loss after
loss. When I read just now about Ann Duffy, my first (albeit crass and
inappropriate) thought was the line from a song: another one bites the
dust.

Now instead I am singing:
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength,
They shall rise up on wings as eagles.
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint..."

Or dance...I love that imagery. Despite our collective grief, what a joyful
gathering in the great beyond.
