[Dialogue] Lesbian bishop

Karen is the United Methodist bishop assigned to the Mountain Sky Area (Denver). The Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone annual conferences (including two Idaho churches) have voted to merge, but it's a multi-year process, not yet complete.So what's the big issue here?Marshall

Big controversy over her sexual orientation--married lesbian.  Her wife is a deaconess in the United Methodist Church.  The "rules" of the United Methodists do not allow gay/lesbian persons to be ordained.
